After a bit of back and forth, the Roger Bacon boy varsity basketball team became the runner ups in the OHSAA championship game Saturday evening at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus.   The boys lost a close one 54-52 to Cleveland Villa Angela St Joseph.  This is VASJ’s 7th Division III Championship.

With just a minute left, Justin Johnson (14 points) fouled out of the game for Roger Bacon with the score at 45-43.  That made it a little more difficult for the Spartans to keep the pace, but they did.  Free throws were a big factor for both teams down to the end.  Congratulations to Roger Bacon for an amazing season.  Way to represent the city of Cincinnati, OH and everything good about basketball in this region.
