Abilene Christian University (ACU) is a private, Christian university located in Abilene, Texas. Founded in 1906, ACU is a private, coeducational university that offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees. ACU is affiliated with the Churches of Christ and is committed to providing a quality education that is rooted in Christian values. ACU is home to a wide variety of student organizations, including student government, student media, and a variety of religious and social organizations. ACU’s athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division I Southland Conference. The university has won numerous conference championships in various sports, including baseball, basketball, football, and track and field. The ACU Wildcats have also won several national championships, including the NCAA Division II Football Championship in 1977, the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship in 1993, and the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship in 1998.
