Alabama A&M University (AAMU) is a historically black university located in Normal, Alabama. Founded in 1875, AAMU is one of the oldest public universities in the state. AAMU offers a wide range of academic programs, from traditional liberal arts to professional and technical degrees. AAMU also has a strong athletics program that competes in the NCAA Division I Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
