Eastern Illinois University

Eastern Illinois University (EIU) is a public university located in Charleston, Illinois. Founded in 1895, EIU is the oldest public university in the state and is part of the Illinois State University System. With an enrollment of over 8,000 students, Eastern Illinois University offers more than 150 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a variety of disciplines. EIU is known for its strong academic programs and is home to the prestigious Lumpkin College of Business and Applied Sciences. The university also offers a variety of student activities, including intramural sports, student organizations, and Greek life. EIU is also home to a strong athletics program.
