Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas is a historically black college and university (HBCU) that has been providing quality education to students since 1875. The men’s basketball team is one of the most successful programs at Huston-Tillotson, having won the Red River Athletic Conference championship in 2019. The team is led by head coach, Willie Smith, and is composed of talented student-athletes who strive to compete at the highest level. The team has also been successful in the classroom, with a 3.0 team grade point average. The softball team is another successful program at Huston-Tillotson. The team has been to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship in each of the past three seasons, and has earned a spot in the conference tournament in each of the past six seasons. The team is led by head coach, Billie Jean Jones, and is composed of talented student-athletes who strive to compete at the highest level.
