Le Moyne-Owen College

Le Moyne-Owen College is a private, historically black college located in Memphis, Tennessee. Founded in 1871, the college is affiliated with the United Church of Christ and is one of the oldest historically black colleges in the United States. Le Moyne-Owen College offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and is also home to a thriving sports program. The Le Moyne-Owen College Magicians are a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and compete in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC). The Magicians field teams in men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s golf, and men’s and women’s track and field. The Magicians have had a long history of success on the court and field, having won numerous conference championships and producing multiple All-Americans. The Magicians are coached by a talented and experienced staff that is committed to helping each student-athlete reach their full potential. The coaches emphasize the importance of academics and strive to instill a sense of discipline and teamwork in each of their athletes. They also strive to create an atmosphere of respect and camaraderie within the team, and to foster a sense of pride in the Le Moyne-Owen College community.
