Dayton, Ohio is home to Sinclair Community College, a comprehensive two-year college that offers a variety of academic and career programs. Founded in 1887, Sinclair is one of the oldest community colleges in the United States and serves over 20,000 students each year. In addition to its academic offerings, Sinclair also offers a variety of sports programs for its students. Sinclair’s athletic department offers a wide range of sports, including men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, and golf. The college also offers a number of club sports, including lacrosse, rugby, and ultimate frisbee. All of Sinclair’s teams compete in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC). Sinclair’s basketball teams have been particularly successful in recent years. The men’s team has won the OCCAC championship three times in the last five years, and the women’s team has won the championship twice in the same period. Both teams have also made several appearances in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. In addition to its competitive sports teams, Sinclair also offers a variety of intramural sports. These include basketball, volleyball, flag football, soccer, softball, and more. Intramural sports provide a great opportunity for students to stay active and have fun with their peers.
