The Citadel – Charleston, SC

The Citadel, located in Charleston, South Carolina, is a public military college and one of the most prestigious universities in the United States. Founded in 1842, The Citadel is known for its rigorous academic standards and its commitment to producing leaders of character. The Citadel is home to the South Carolina Corps of Cadets, which is comprised of approximately 2,300 cadets. The Citadel is also home to a variety of NCAA Division I sports teams, including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, track and field, and golf. The Citadel Bulldogs compete in the Southern Conference and have won numerous conference championships in various sports. The football team has won six conference championships, the most recent in 2015, and has made seven bowl game appearances. The basketball team has won four conference championships and has made four NCAA tournament appearances. The Citadel is committed to providing its student-athletes with the best possible experience.
