The University of Alaska in Anchorage (UAA) is a public university located in Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1954, UAA is the largest university in the state of Alaska and offers a wide range of academic programs in the areas of business, education, engineering, health sciences, and more. UAA is also home to a thriving athletics program, with teams competing in NCAA Division II and the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC). UAA’s sports teams are known as the Seawolves, and the school colors are green and gold. The Seawolves compete in a variety of sports, including basketball, cross country, golf, hockey, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. The school also has a successful ski team, which competes in the NCAA’s Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association.
