Williston State College (WSC) is a two-year college located in Williston, North Dakota. Founded in 1957, WSC provides students with an affordable, quality education in a variety of fields, including business, health sciences, and technology. The college also offers a variety of athletic programs, giving students the opportunity to participate in competitive sports while pursuing their academic goals. The WSC athletic program includes men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, and golf. The men’s and women’s basketball teams compete in the Mon-Dak Conference, while the volleyball and golf teams compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The college also offers intramural sports such as flag football, softball, and basketball. The WSC basketball teams have had great success over the years, reaching the NJCAA Division I National Championship game in 2009. The men’s team has also won two Mon-Dak Conference titles and has made three NJCAA Division I National Tournament appearances. The women’s team has won two Mon-Dak Conference titles and has made two NJCAA Division I National Tournament appearances. The WSC volleyball team has also had success, winning two Mon-Dak Conference titles and making two NJCAA Division I National Tournament appearances. The golf team has also had success, winning two Mon-Dak Conference titles and making one NJCAA Division I National Tournament appearance. The WSC athletic program provides students with the opportunity to participate in competitive sports while pursuing their academic goals. The college’s teams have had great success over the years and have provided students with the opportunity to compete at the highest level.
